Internal Medicine Residency Program
The Aurora Internal Medicine Residency Program has a mission to promote a patient-centered, outcome-based approach to healthcare. This residency is one of 19 elite internal medicine residency programs chosen to participate in the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Educational Innovation Project (EIP). The quality of our faculty and research productivity has allowed us to sponsor outstanding fellowships in the fields of cardiology, gastroenterology and geriatrics. The expectations of residents are challenging, not unrealistic.
This strong academic foundation prepares residents for any career in internal medicine and is designed to make sure there is ample opportunity to participate in projects that have a direct impact on the quality of patient care. Upon graduation, our residents practice within a wide range of communities across the country, from rural America to major metropolitan areas. We pride ourselves on the successes we have achieved clinically, educationally and academically.
